Shame File Music presents this reissue of Ernie Althoff’s 2002 album. These nine tracks were originally released in February 2002 as a limited CD-R edition of 50, all long ago sold out. This is arguably an earthier, grittier Althoff, with textures more to the fore comparable at times to the work of Jeph Jerman.
Music made with 29 acoustic kinetic machines, one slow-speed cassette player, and three player-manipulated devices. Tracks 1-8 were all recorded in one take each, with the featured machines set up and playing in front of the microphones.
